Purchasing

To leverage spending across Network partners, institutions and companies will be building connections between footprint businesses and procurement leaders, forming business development partnerships focused on consistent areas of spending, and improving institutional practices that increase access to business opportunities.

Working together to build a stronger and equitable St. Louis, we are committed to increasing outreach, communication and partnerships between Network members and the local business community in the focus footprint. Disseminating information about upcoming projects is part of the Network’s commitment to increase transparency and foster connections around business opportunities in order to increase spending in the footprint.

On October 29, 2021, the St. Louis Anchor Action Network hosted a Local Business Engagement Event showcasing some of the members’ purchasing needs and projects in the upcoming months. The listing is available by clicking on the Fall 2021 Partner Project List below.

Please note that each institution and some of the individual opportunities have different requirements for considerations. We hope this project list supports you connecting with institutions on business opportunities most aligned with your goods or services.

Every day purchasing decisions get made. Knowing who you can purchase from and connecting with a particular business is a critical part of increasing intentional spending to build community wealth in the Network footprint. To support Network members and the St. Louis community identifying and reaching out to footprint businesses, we have created a searchable Community Business Tool.

This directory is enhanced with diversity certification information as well as information on whether a business has experience working with a network partner. We will continue to enhance and refresh the data available through this tool periodically. Click below to use the tool.
